The competition is supported by the World Dance Council, Azerbaijan Dance Council, Smooth
Rhythm Dance Style, in strict accordance with the General Rules of competitions sanctioned by
WDC, AzDC & SRDS.

The organizer and all participants undertake to comply with provided General Rules & Regulations of AzDF.

The Festival is open to any couple from any organization. The WDC World Professional Ballroom Championship is open exclusively for couples of the WDC organization with valid competitor WDC licence on the day of event.

AzDF is held within two days and coincide with the 86th WDC World Professional Ballroom Championship & “Night of the Dancing Diamonds” Gala Show.
Within the framework of AzDF, an International Dance Congress will be held on the 27th of October
A world-class teachers in Ballroom, Latin and Smooth disciplines will be available for private lessons and group classes.

REGISTRATION FEES AND CONDITIONS

All participants must be registered to enter the event. Registration available on
the website www.azdf.world & www.lifeis.dance
Guests entrance tickets with allocated seats for the evening session on 28.10.2023, as well
as for the Gala Show program “Night of the Dancing Diamonds” on 29.10.2023 must
be purchased in advance on the website www.azdf.world & www.lifeis.dance

CATEGORIES AND PRICES
1. WDC World Championship, Open to the World Events, AzDC Open Championships are evaluated by Skating System 6 (C) 1993-2022 @skatingsystem www.SkatingSystem.com.
Finalists, prize-winners and winners of the championships receive cups, medals, diplomas, memorable gifts and prize money in accordance with the prize fund established at AzDF.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES FOR PARTICIPANTS
Additional services provided by the organizer and their cost are reflected in
the "Additional" section in the registration form.

Please note that room reservations are only available subject to availability.
When choosing one of the packages, you will need to specify a single or
double room hotel occupancy is required (an additional 20% of the room price for a double room occupancy).
Upon request organisers will check the availability of rooms at the JW Marriott Absheron Baku ***** hotel and send you an invoice for payment.

International Dance Congress and evening supervised practice
28th October :
the 86th WDC World Professional Ballroom Championship, Open to the World events in Latin, Ballroom & Smooth programs, under the age categories of juniors (under 16), youth (under 21), adults (over 16), professionals. Solo events under the age categories of juveniles (under 12) and juniors (under 16).
29th October:
Open to the World Pro Am events for different levels and age categories in Latin, Ballroom, Smooth, Rhythm, Argentine Tango, Caribbean Mix. AzDC Open championships in Argentine Tango, Salsa & Bachata.

ORGANIZATION
The Organizing Committee is responsible for preparation and hosting of the Festival. The Organizing Committee is guided by this General Rules & Regulations of the Festival and responsible for the implementation of all its points during the preparation and hosting of the Festival. The Organizing Committee is the highest authority for all participants of the Festival in solving any issues in the preparation and hosting of the Festival.

PURPOSES
- Selection and encouragement of the best dancers;
- Popularization of ballroom dance as a form of sports development & cultural leisure;
- Discovery of new talented dancers;
- Attracting attention and increasing interest in ballroom dancing;
- Development of dance sports, culture and education with in the country and beyond;
- Strengthening the cultural values ​​of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- Development among young generation creative potential, new opportunities for development and gain new knowledge, which will inspire for new achievements on the world level.

RESPONSIBILITY
Registration and subsequent verification of each participant of the Festival implies that he/she is familiar with these General Rules & Regulations and assumes the obligation to comply with it (including giving his/her consent to the processing of personal data).

CONFIDENTIALITY AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
In accordance with the law, the Organizing Committee uses the personal data received from the Participants only for the purpose of hosting the Festival and accounting for participation fees in accordance with the requirements of the Azerbaijan legislation.

REGISTRATION
None of the participants can register two or more times in the same categorie, but can register in different categories, with the same or a different partner. Registration for the Festival is carried out on the website www.azdf.world or www.lifeis.dance

Registration is valid only when the full payment in done for the selected category.
Registrations and payments close on October 20th, 2023.

VERIFICATION (personal confirmation of participation on the day of the competition)
Competitors are required personally arrive for verification at the registration area of the Festival no later than 30 minutes before the start of the first round of their competition in accordance with the Festival program. Participants who did not appear for verification in accordance with the Program will not be able to participate in the regestered category. Delays will be taken into account only in case of force majeure. Upon successful verification, participants receive a competitors number with which they perform in regestered events and categories of the Festival.

RULES OF CONDUCT AT THE FESTIVAL
Participants are obliged to comply with the following rules of conduct with in the Festival: Entrance to the dance floor is allowed only with the permission of the representatives of the Organizing Committee or the invitation of the presenter. Participants are obliged to follow the rules of navigation in the venue throughout the Festival from the opening to the announcement of the closure of the Festival. Intentional appearance of participants in the working and judjing areas, which may lead to a meeting with members of the Judging Board of the Festival may lead to disqualification of the participant.
Festival schedule time may change during the festival. Dancers are personally responsible for the timely exit to the dance floor. Festival participants respect the Organizing Committee, other participants and spectators of the Festival. Participants should not allow themselves unethical actions or behavior that may adversely affect the image of the Festival and / or cause a negative reaction from the audience and other participants of the Festival.

FESTIVAL ADJUDICATORS
Competitive performance of participants is evaluated by the judging panel of 9-11-13-15 judges. Chairperson of the Festival - Hannes Emrich
Chairperson determines the number of couples/competitors that pass to the next round, issues warnings or discualifies participants from the competition, oversees the established schedule of the Festival, or changes, aimed at fulfilling exact schedule. In all matters related to adjudicating issues, hosting the Festival, changes in the schedule, the decisions of the chairperson are final.

PHOTO AND VIDEO SHOOTING
The Organizer of the Festival reserves the right to film all stages of the Festival, using all known and new means and methods, including, but not limited to, audio, video and photo shootings, recording on digital media, either independently or by involving third-party specialists, in order to promote and advertise the event. All materials and recordings are the exclusive property of the Organizer.
By completing registation form of the Festival, participants automatically acknowledge the irreversible and free transfer of the rights to use the above materials and records of the Festival to its Organizer. This means that neither participants nor third parties related to them have any possibility to demand payment from the Organizer for the use of materials and records of the Festival. This rules also applies without any restrictions to photo and video materials that will be published or used for advertising and promotion of the Festival.

PARTICIPATION COST AND TERMS OF REFUND
Participation cost in AzDF is set in US dollars. During registration, participants from the Russian Federation have the opportunity to pay for the entry fee and additional services in rubles at the exchange rate on the day of payment.
In case of refusal to participate at the Festival before September 27, 2023. A 50% deposit is refunded to participant. From September 28, no refunds will be made. The funds are returned only in case of cancellation of the AzDF due to circumstances depending on the will of the AzDF Organizer.
