The tournament is held with assistance of Dance Association Crystal according to the approved rules published in this PROVISION.

The international WORLD CUP OPEN tournament is open for couples consisting of the Teacher of Pro-Am (Pro) or the Teacher of T-S (T) and Am/S.

SCHEDULE OF THE TOURNAMENT AND PROGRAM

The preliminary schedule and the program of competitions are posted on the website of the Organizer www.cyprusopen.org

The organizer makes specification of the program taking into account the submitted applications for a tournament. The final schedule and the program are published no later than two days before date of the international tournament. Participants independently monitor changes which the organizer makes to the schedule and the program.

At registration in each section of a tournament more than 7 couples the competition is held to several rounds. In the first round the number of couples isn't limited, in the next tour not less than a half of participants of the previous tour is brought. The final is reached by no more than 7 couples of participants in each group.

COMPETITIVE DIRECTIONS

The tournament is held in the directions:

- INTERNATIONAL STANDARD (W, T, VW, SF, Q)

- INTERNATIONAL LATIN (CC, S, R, P, J)

- AMERICAN SMOOTH (W, T, F, VW)

CATEGORIES OF THE TOURNAMENT

The tournament is held on the following categories:

* BROZE OPEN

* SILVER OPEN

* GOLD OPEN

* GOLD OPEN STAR

* WORLD CUP OPEN (SCHOLARSHIP)

* TEAM MATCH

* SHOWCASE

In each category participants are registered on age categories (see the section age groups).

In tournament categories there are no restrictions on figures.

Each couple can act at most in two adjacent categories of complexity: BRONZE-SILVER; SILVER-GOLD.

In category WORLD CUP OPEN registration is open for all participants of a tournament.

In category TEAM MATCH couples, representatives of one country, in quantity from 2-4, without restriction on categories and age compete.

AGE GROUPS

Competitive dances of the SINGLE DANCE, MULTI DANCE, WORLD CUP OPEN (SCHOLARSHIP) program are carried out on the following age groups:

- A (up to 35 years)

- B (from 36 to 50 years)

- C (of 51 year is also more senior).

The age is determined on age of the Student in couple.

Participants of a tournament of age group B and C can be registered as in the age group, so in group is younger.

WORLD OPEN CUP (SCHOLARSHIP) 140 euro

TEAM MATCH 200 euro (on team)

SHOWCASE 300 euro

Registration of participants is carried out till 15.10.2018 on the website of the organizer of www.cyprusopen.org After the specified date registration is carried out in coordination with organizers, at late registration additional collecting in the sum of 50 euro is raised. The organizer reserves the right to refuse to the participant registration in case of a large number of the submitted applications.

For an entrance to the hall all participants of a tournament (The teacher and the Student) have to acquire entrance tickets.

RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS OF COMPETITIONS

Participants of a tournament, being in the hall, undertake to behave it is civilized, to treat all participants, the audience and organizers of a tournament with respect.

Couples have to be in the hall in 30 minutes until the beginning of calling in which they participate. Time of hits is specified in the program of a tournament. Organizers in the right not to detain the program for expectation of the participants, and not to return money for the missed hit to the participant.

In the competitive category MULTI DANCE Student it is obliged to perform with one Teacher on all events included in a tournament.

In category SHOWCASE rises are allowed no more than in 50% of music.

For avoidance of possible disqualification participants of a tournament are obliged to remain on a parquet before the full termination of a musical track.

Violations in the first tours – prevention from the chief judge, violation in the subsequent tours – cancellation of all received estimates, violation in a final tour – automatically treats the last place in dance in which violations are allowed.

In case of the termination of a performance of couple after the beginning of the final on an etiology or injuries, couple automatic are received by the last place in dance in which she didn't dance.

The organizer doesn't bear responsibility for the left things in locker rooms, the hall, hotel rooms and also for the possible injuries got participants of a tournament.

REWARDING

Rewarding on a tournament:

- All participants of category SINGLE DANCE gain diplomas;

- Prize-winners of category MULTI DANCE gain diplomas and medals;

- Everything the participant of category WORLD CUP OPEN (SCHOLARSHIP) prize-winners of category gain diplomas: medals, cup and certificate *;

- All teams of category TEAM MATCH gain diplomas, victorious team – the diploma and a cup;

- All participants of category SHOWCASE gain diplomas, prize-winners of this category: medals and сертификат*.

* The certificate can be used for payment of registration fees on the WORLD CUP OPEN 2019 tournament

MUSIC

Music duration on a tournament conforms to the following requirements:

- INTERNATIONAL STANDARD – music sounds from 1:10 to 1:30 minutes, in the Vienna waltz and a quickstep from 1:00 to 1:30 minutes;

- INTERNATIONAL LATIN – a musical track lasting from 1:10 to 1:30 minutes, a paso doble – 2 accents, a jive from 1:00 to 1:30 minutes;- AMERICAN SMOOTH – music from 1:10 to 1:30 minutes;

- SHOWCASE – the maximum time of duration of a musical track 3 minutes from the beginning of reproduction, until the end of the show including "false final".

At simultaneous stay in calling more than 6 couples music can be increased for 15 seconds from the approved time, according to the decision of the chief judge of a tournament.

JUDGES OF THE TOURNAMENT

The performance of participants of a tournament is estimated by a judiciary board, assessment of performances is carried out with use of the special equipment and the licensed program “DanceScore”.

At each tournament category there are at least 5 judges.

The chief judge of a tournament is approved from among the judges of a tournament having the license of any dancing organization.

In all questions concerning questions of refereeing, holding a tournament, changes in the schedule the decision of the CHAIRPERSON are final.
